Schuco and Bing mini teddy bears limited to 200

Schuco, the Panda bear was produced in Nuremberg in 1960. A display, showing parts of the original bear made of tinplate, can be seen at the Bing Depot in Bamberg. Bing, the “Little Snow Flake“ is Nuremberg's most famous polar bear, will be one year old. Nuremberg commemorates “ 60 Years of Toy Fairs “. This event calls for a valuable and one-of-a-kind jubilee edition. Bing and Schuco were partners in the past. The jubilee bears include the reservation for a handsigned book , limited to 200, of the upcoming edition “ Teddy Bears of Nuremberg made by Bing & Schuco “. This document is in English and German.

Schuco the Panda bear, is 6 cm ( 2 ¼ inch ) tall, fully jointed and made of tinplate and mohair plush. Included is an antic Schuco coinage, imprinted : Made in the U.S. Zone, Germany. Bing the Polar bear is 9 cm( 3 ½ inch) tall, fully jointed and made of micro-plush, fitted with a “ Magic Bearfoot“ - stands by itself due to a magnet in the sole.

The history of “Nuremberg's Tinplate Bears of 1901 “ is included. It describes the story of a toy prior to the Roosevelt era of 1902.
